Anxiety the invisible demon haunting our thoughts paralysing our actions
It’s always lurking in the background it has a grip around your throat, strangling suffocating you, cutting off your oxygen supply
Your minds racing, your sweating the panic sets in
You can’t seem to slow your breathing, you notice all the eyes watching
But they’re not watching they’re barely even noticing you
But the anxiety makes it hard to differentiate between what’s really true
Illogical thinking, self doubt creating
We all have struggles, our anxiety doesn’t have to be life ending
There’s hope, there’s light at the end of the tunnel
The first step is accepting the second is talking
Open a dialogue take away its power
When you don’t face it how can you expect it to get better
Anxiety.. you little bugger
It comes in different forms, shapes and sizes, multiple disguises
To some extent or another.. we all suffer
