Grateful, glad, I feel vindicated

Every decision made, every door I closed

Closed not knowing what the future holds

Closed with a heavy heart but closed with no regrets

I live a life where you’re either in or you’re out, it’s either all the way or no way at all

All I had was a feeling, a understanding of who I am and what I deserved

I envisioned a life, a life that not all can offer

A life that was waiting exactly as I had seen it

No half measures, no doubts, no dangling in between swinging side to side like a pendulum

Just me and you, I saw it and I got it

I didn’t beg for it, all I have now has been given freely

Aligned perfectly, a surreal night under the stars like it was destiny
