I’m trying not to think about it
I’m trying
I’m trying not to dwell on it
I swear I really am trying
But at times this pain is so intense
Muffled groans I speak, they make no sense
I’m trying to think positively
The end goal still I focus
I’m trying to stay focused
But at times it’s a lot to cope with
My coping methods do they need adjusting
My pain relief does it need reviewing
How many more pills can I take
How many more pain free moments can I fake
I’m trying
I swear I really am trying
