We torment ourselves with the what ifs of life, what if I was who I am now then, what if that didn’t happen, what if that happened, what if I took that job, what if I never got sick, what if I had more money, what if, what if.. what ifs get you nowhere. Focus on the what is, the what is now.
No peace can be found from living in the past or focusing on these what ifs. Living in the present is where you find true peace, acceptance of the what is now.
Life has panned out and happened the exact way it was supposed to fortunately or unfortunately, whichever way you choose to look at it is up to you. Deal with it, accept it, move on and start living for the what is. At times we can spend so long dwelling on the past or dreaming about the future, that we end up missing out on what’s right in front of our eyes.
