It’s been a while since I updated my blog so I thought I’d kick it off with a little I’m back post before I start posting all my random rambles. Technically I never left I just took a little break which got sightly out of hand!
When I started this blog I was on sick leave awaiting shoulder surgery so I had all the time in the world to write. My blog was my priority, minus the shoulder part it was great. When I originally went back to work part time I wasn’t able to adapt to the change in my routine. My mind felt so crowded, I just couldnt think about anything concrete. I’d get home from work and feel mentally drained, writing was the last thing on my mind. The thing is the more time that passed by the harder it was to start, I found myself in a place where I literally didn’t know where to begin, the thought of updating my blog began to stress me out so I took a moment out and now we’re here.
This week marks the return of me to full time work. I’ve realised I’m not miraculously going to get loads of free time to sit down, chill and update my blog. This is my normality. So instead of stressing that I haven’t got time or that I’m too tired I have to manage my time better and decide what is and what isn’t a priority. We make time for the things we want to make for, it’s that simple.
In life we have to be adaptable, open to change. Are we willing to step outside of our comfort zones, to challenge ourselves? I wasn’t. It was so easy when I had nothing else to do but write.
The one who can not adapt to change is the one who will remain the same.
It feels good to be back 🙂
